The founder of OUTgrit, Robyn has an MBA (specialization in Entrepreneurship) from the University of Victoria, and a proven track record of successful, profitable, small businesses. She currently owns and operates Victoria Pie Co and Parachute Ice Cream.

She was born with an interest in business and has been pursuing business in her career and personal life since 1997. She has a unique ability to predict potential problems before they arise. She is highly pragmatic and can see details through from conception to implementation.

Robyn lives in the woods with her husband, 4 kids, and two rescue dogs. You can usually find her working with a client in a great cafe or over a local microbrew. If she isn't there, however, she's probably renovating something in one of her rental properties, or mopping the floors in one of her restaurants (pro-tip: it's great for employee morale!)

A Project Manager by profession, Nicole honed her detail-oriented, clear communication style in the heavy civil infrastructure construction; land development; forestry; and, mining industries. She is a systems-thinker with strong analytical skills and brings unique knowledge and perspectives that will bring value to our consulting clients.

Additionally, for the last ten years, as a natural practitioner of Servant Leadership principles, Nicole has taken the administrative skills and lessons learned as a Project Manager and company owner to provide value-focused consulting services to businesses and non-profit organizations on business plan development; e-commerce; social entrepreneurship; policy analysis; and, governance. An Indigenous woman of Wendat ancestry through her mother's side, Nicole has experience with direct, culturally appropriate, consent-based engagement with Indigenous communities and organizations as a Public Servant and in her non-profit work.

On a personal level, Nicole is fascinated by rural economic development, food sovereignty, and regenerative agriculture - especially in the context of Indigenous communities across Turtle Island. She is a mother, spouse, Organic Master Gardener, Permaculture Designer and a grower of Sacred Medicines.
